Your two screens, kept intact and extended: the player and the agent now sit inside a whole night — a night Books screen, a daylight Workshop, a page of every place you might be, and a wake screen for the mornings after.
What I kept
- Letterspaced wordmark, “start over”, amber-on-black, all-serif voice.
- The −30 / pause / +30 slab grid and the pill + mic dock.
- Em-dash user turns in the thread.
What I added
- Scrub line — how far through you are, at a glance; deliberately not tappable, so a mis-tap in the dark can't lose your place.
- Places you might be — semantic matches in book order, windowed around where you are; text stays hidden past your position so nothing spoils. Tap a place to reveal, goto to move.
- Chat does more than placement — ask who a character is and it answers in the thread; ask where you were and it moves you, or opens Places when it can't decide.
- Wake screen — after a sleep-timer fade the app opens on three ranked choices instead of the player, so nothing is crowded at 3am.
- Gutenberg → ingest — search, select, watch the server take it in.
Player fills any zoom level: three weighted spacers share the slack 2:1:1 with floors and ceilings, so nothing pools at the top. Tweaks carry dim level, jump size and how many places to show — no sleep-timer default, which would reverse the server's six-hour expiry on a forgotten timer. Next: chapter/bookmark drawer, failure states, offline downloads, and a lock-screen widget in the same language.
