The local `sigorbit-c8-257-v1` checkpoint was used during pre-release
engineering so extraction and parity could be tested, but it is excluded from
Git and source/binary distributions. A 2026-08-07 pixel audit
identified the training aggregate as genuine CEDAR and BHSig260 samples. CEDAR
has no explicit licence grant; BHSig260 is stated only to be available “for
research purposes”. This notice intentionally
does not grant permission to redistribute the checkpoint. Do not publish it
until upstream permission or counsel approval is recorded. No training images
are included. See docs/DATASET_LICENSE_AUDIT.md.

Runtime dependencies are not redistributed as source by this repository:

The architecture builds on the concepts in:
M. Weiler and G. Cesa, "General E(2)-Equivariant Steerable CNNs",
NeurIPS 2019, arXiv:1911.08251.

Downstream distributions must retain the notices required by their actual locked
dependencies and should generate an SBOM/license report for shipped wheels or
containers.
