Run regression tests from the extracted source root with pytest and PySide6:
python -m pytest -q tests/test_resource_ownership.py tests/test_resource_supervisor.py tests/test_resource_dialogs.py tests/test_editor_lifecycle_regressions.py
On headless Linux set QT_QPA_PLATFORM=offscreen. The raw partial-frame injection
skips Windows; blocked-request and malformed-worker tests use portable spawn.

For memory probes on Linux, use a Python environment with this wheel installed:
python evidence/resource_audit/probe_desktop_resources.py desktop.json
python evidence/resource_audit/probe_workspace_cycles.py workspace.json
For the 1.1.12 runtime-value branch with GCC installed:
python evidence/resource_audit/probe_runtime_arena.py arena-output

Run each workload in a fresh process and compare equivalent stages. Settings
and test source are isolated. No real user source is read by the probes.
The saved baseline-test failures are expected defect reproductions, not final
release failures. The installed-harness-import-error files document a harness
issue corrected by normal pytest module imports; final installed tests pass.
