PyCForge 1.3.44 — Complete release and corrected README
Prepared 2026-10-19 for the user's own PyPI upload.

RELEASE IDENTITY
The wheel, source distribution, project metadata and imported package version
are 1.3.44. Installed Qt application version, empty/open workspace titles,
startup title and label, About badge and every Help footer all report 1.3.44.
Historical release notes, test fixture names and bug-fix versions retain their
original identities.

README
The README heading is PyCForge v1.3.44. Its established section order, code
examples, feature focus, main banner, two UI screenshots and contact details
are preserved. Coverage reflects constructor expressions, nested records,
fixed record collections and exact immutable local record bindings. Help
counts are 29, and the navigator description identifies the left-side Copy icon.

Exactly four external image URLs appear, in this order:
1. PyCForge banner at the top, 320-pixel display width.
2. Existing PyCForge workspace screenshot.
3. Existing Ting evidence screenshot.
4. Approved Crucible engine banner directly below the conversion bug tracker,
640-pixel display width, with the subtitle a py to c conversion engine.

The tracker includes the private-field correction, nested annotation import
validation and async-only diagnostic fix from 1.3.42, plus the conflicting
record declaration correction from 1.3.43. The HTML Help remains a practical
coding reference without development-cycle status.

The actual PyPI Markdown renderer verifies all four images and their order,
banner widths and absence of extra navigation/mailto links. The README is
byte-identical in the source tree, wheel METADATA, source README and source
PKG-INFO. Final README SHA256:

PRESERVATION
All 884 application source files match the corrected 1.3.43 build except
pycforge/_version.py. Conversion behavior, Typed/Runtime contracts, application
dependencies, icon assets and all 29 HTML Help pages are preserved. The default
Typed profile remains typed-record-locals-v1.6 / c-renderer-v1.6.

VERIFICATION
- Release and version checks: 126 tests and 680 subtests passed after the
snapshot correction described below. Five checks requiring an unavailable
sealed Phase 14D predecessor archive were skipped; their reasons are recorded.
- The initial run passed 125 tests and failed one obsolete active-profile
serialization fingerprint assertion. Both the active and historical result
payloads were independently compared with the reviewed 1.3.43 source and
were identical. The active expected fingerprint was synchronized with that
verified v1.6 result; the historical fingerprint and generated-C checks were
preserved. The complete affected test then passed.
- All 878 installed application files match the wheel and source byte for byte.
Installed Typed record-local conversion and Runtime conversion both pass.
- Installed version checks cover metadata, Qt application version, workspace,
startup, About, and every Help footer.
- Both release archives pass strict twine checks and the public distribution
verifier, including matching README metadata, dependencies, entry points,
source payloads, licenses and required resources.
- Each archive contains exactly 504 required application icons. No banners,
screenshots or other nonessential image files are packaged.

Evidence is under evidence/release_1_3_44/ in the source archive. Prior conversion
regression evidence is retained under its original versioned directories.
These are focused release checks, not a claim of a complete repository-suite
pass. Verification used Linux, Python 3.12, GCC and Qt offscreen; a new native
Windows or macOS run was not performed. No PyPI upload was performed.

Upload the two files named pycforge-1.3.44-py3-none-any.whl and
pycforge-1.3.44.tar.gz together. Their final SHA256 values are appended to the
accompanying verification report after archive construction.
