Physical sample details

Fields marked with ∗ are required.

The title should include appropriate elements that would help find and distinguish a sample. Appropriate elements might include: the basic form of the object that is registered (e.g. polished section, core, pulp, solution, dredge haul in a box, lot, or piece of material); the material(s) that compose the sample (e.g. water, granite, or tissue); local sample identifiers.
∗
Main researcher(s) involved, in priority order. For IGSN IDs, this could be the sample collector/creator, chief scientist, curator, or even the person who deposited the sample into a repository. Select creators from the list or manually add them by creating a new creator record. Hit enter after adding each creator and drag and drop names to arrange them in the order you wish.
∗
CreatorActions
Brief description of the resource and the context in which it was created.
∗
{{object["abstract"] | default("", True) | replace("\\n", "
") | safe }}
Describe the collection method(s) by which the sample was gathered.
{{object["methods"] | default("", True) | replace("\\n", "

Name of the organizations that contributed to the creation of the resource. Separate different names with a semicolon (;)
∗ ∗
Enter the year that a sample was first made available to the research community.
∗

Findability

Add keywords that will help make your resource more discoverable. For IGSN IDs, this is the materials that compose the sample. Use a semicolon (;) or hit return after each keyword you enter.
∗
May be used to enter any other identifiers for the material sample, including local sample identifiers.
The spatial region or named place where the sample was gathered.
The geographic area to which the data refer (e.g. municipality, town/city, region, country)
Geographic longitude in decimal degrees, East is positive, West is negative. Values: -180 to 180.
Geographic latitude in decimal degrees, North is positive, South is negative. Values: -90 to 90.
This property may be used to log events relevant to the physical sample. Enter the date, and select the date type. A period is entered as a range, of which the start and the end are entered in the same format.

Choose the format that matches the date you want to enter, enter the value, and select the date type:

Linked resource & references

Specify identifiers of related resources (parent samples, subsamples, datasets, publications, etc.) for the physical sample. Enter the identifier, and select the identifier type and relation type of the related resource.
Upon publication, an International Generic Sample Number (IGSN) will be assigned to your physical sample. If you need to have the IGSN before publication, you can use this value.
The IGSN of your physical sample will be: {{object["doi"] | default(draft_doi, False)}}

Contact & storage

Add the contact details by which the sample owner (person or department) may be contacted, e.g. for queries about the sample or access requests.
∗
Add the location details (name university, faculty, department, etc.) where the sample is stored.
