Prepare a mux job

Font subsettingAttach only glyphs referenced by matched ASS/SSA subtitles. Turning this off restores your previous font mode. Enable font subsetting to reduce file size

Font MIME typeChoose the MIME type scheme for font attachments written into the MKV. Modern uses the font/ttf, font/otf, font/collection scheme and requires mkvmerge v66+. Legacy uses the older application/x-truetype-font and application/vnd.ms-opentype types.

Font deliveryHow subsetted fonts reach the player. Attachment embeds them in the MKV. ASS instead writes a self-contained .ass with the fonts embedded. Both keeps the MKV attachment and also writes the self-contained .ass.

Filter source audio tracksOpt in to conservative source-audio rules. Unknown language remains preserved. Enable audio filtering Overwrite existing outputsRequires confirmation before the job starts and can replace existing files. Allow overwrite

Purpose

Make added content work correctly in Plex

PlexMuxy matches external audio and subtitles, attaches subtitle fonts, and writes track languages, names, flags, and release-group details so Plex can load and present the added content correctly.

PlexMuxy is an independent open-source project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Plex.

What PlexMuxy can mux

PlexMuxy reads the following source formats and always writes a single Matroska (.mkv) file:

Video containers: .mkv .mp4 .avi .flv
External subtitles: .ass .ssa
External audio: .mka
Font attachments: .ttf .otf .ttc .otc
Font archives: .zip .7z .rar
Output: .mkv (Matroska)

The video-container list is configurable in config.json under media.video_extensions (and the other media.*_extensions lists), so additional containers that mkvmerge can demux can be enabled.
