# fastclaude

<!-- WARNING: THIS FILE WAS AUTOGENERATED! DO NOT EDIT! -->

`fastclaude` is a small, completions-style Python interface backed by the installed
Claude Code executable. It inherits Claude CLI authentication, including OAuth and
subscriptions, without requiring direct Anthropic API integration.

Each request starts from complete history:

- accepts complete, editable histories as [`aidialog.msg_parts.Msg`](https://AnswerDotAI.github.io/aidialog/msg_parts.html#msg) objects
- compiles them into real Claude Code sessions rather than flattening them into a prompt
- advertises tools as schemas and ends the turn at a `tool_use`, so the caller owns the tool loop
- continues a history ending in `ToolResult`s by deferral: the pending call is marked in the transcript and its known result served on resume
- streams Claude output and supports native interruption
- remains stateless: each request is one process, and nothing is held between requests

See [DEV.md](DEV.md) for the design record and protocol findings.
