Analyse a within-recording population¶
Question¶
Do cells, regions, or measurement channels remain aligned within one recording?
What you need¶
Aligned named traces or spatial points from one recording. These are components inside a recording, not experimental groups.
Click path¶
- Check that traces share a real time grid and enough valid overlap.
- Use Measure population synchrony for the population phase vector.
- Use Separate phase and period dispersion to distinguish sources of coherence loss.
- Use Measure pairwise coupling for lag and phase locking.
- Use Map phase across space for coordinates with already measured phases.
What success looks like¶
Included traces, amplitude support, valid overlap, units, and warnings accompany every summary.
What it does not prove¶
Correlation, phase locking, or a spatial gradient does not establish causal coupling.
What gets saved¶
Result JSON preserves the exact trace or point inputs and settings; publication export preserves plotted values.
