Getting started

First use

  1. Open Circadian Workbench and choose Explore the demo.
  2. Inspect the actogram, activity profile, periodograms, daily timing, and quality cards.
  3. Choose Workbench and select the scientific question you want to answer.
  4. Review the inputs. Recording-based questions use the active recording and current sidebar settings.
  5. Choose Run analysis. The result card keeps the conclusion, values, plot, full JSON, and provenance together.

To use your data, choose Load activity data and select a supported single file. Missing activity remains missing; negative activity and unusable time axes are rejected.

See Supported files for the exact native, text-export, optional-dependency, and unsupported boundary. If slow drift obscures the rhythm, use Choose a detrending method before estimating period. To compare traces on a common vertical scale without moving their timing, use Choose a normalisation method.

Keep the work

  • Save project downloads settings, interface state, source names, and source SHA-256 checksums without duplicating the recording.
  • Export reproducibility bundle writes the core figures and numerical tables.
  • Publication composes selected figures into editable SVG and vector PDF with exact plotted data.
  • Backup creates and verifies an application snapshot. A restore rehearsal checks the copy in a disposable location and never replaces live data.

Next: choose an analysis or follow the first-recording workflow.
