Kaomoji lists carried by these projects. Each project's own license governs
its code; the kaomoji entries themselves are a folk tradition with no
  identifiable authors (see below).

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Japanese IME dictionaries — 20 files from kaomoji.com and Vector
(vector.co.jp/vpack/filearea/data/writing/dic/kao), plus kaosute.net

Community-distributed IME dictionaries, most published in the late 1990s
  and 2000s, in LZH/ZIP + Shift-JIS, format: 読み<TAB>顔文字<TAB>品詞.
Distributed freely for use as IME dictionaries; the great majority carry no
explicit license and no reachable author. They are included on the same
footing as the rest: as a folk tradition, not as anyone's authored work.

The Japanese 読み (reading) shipped with these dictionaries is the origin of
a large part of the Japanese-language labels in this dataset.

On the kaomoji themselves

Kaomoji are a 25-year-old folk tradition. Individual kaomoji have no
identifiable authors, circulate freely, and every collection — including
every source above — has borrowed from the others. Nothing in this dataset
is claimed as original except the 106 entries marked
"origin": "fontvibe-original", which are released CC0.

If you are the author of something here and want it removed or credited
  differently, open an issue.

Metadata produced by FontVibe — CC0

The semantic labels (emotion / intent / subject), six-language names and
  keywords, tier assignment, rendering flags (ascii_safe / needs_cjk_font /
display_width) and the 106 original kaomoji are dedicated to the public
domain under CC0. No attribution needed for those.
