Glossary · what every setting means
    

      
Preset
best is full resolution and full steps on the strongest model that fits. balanced and fast lower the resolution (FLUX) or the steps (Qwen-Image) to finish sooner, and say so.

      
Resolution
Pixels cost time and memory. 1024² is four times the work of 512². For sharp large images render at 1024 and upscale (next release).

      
Seed
Fixes the randomness. Keep it to reproduce or tweak while keeping the composition; change it to explore.

      
Steps
Denoising passes. FLUX schnell is tuned for exactly 4; others improve to a point (Qwen-Image ≈ 50), then only get slower.

      
Guidance (CFG)
How hard the model obeys the prompt. Low is natural; high obeys more but looks harsh. 1 means off and halves the work.

      
Samplers
euler standard. euler_a adds noise each step: livelier, less reproducible. heun, dpm2 two evaluations per step: a little more accurate, twice the time. dpm++2s_a / 2m / 2mv2 higher order; little gain on 4-step FLUX. ipndm, ipndm_v smooth at low step counts. lcm, tcd for models distilled for them. ddim_trailing deterministic classic.

      
Quantisation
Bits per weight. q8 visually identical to the original; q5 loses a little texture; q4 softens small text. Changes memory, not speed.

      
Load meter
What the job needs against this machine's memory budget (RAM minus 2 GiB, plus a discrete GPU's VRAM). "will swap" runs, several times slower. "over budget" is refused unless allowed in Settings.

      
Prompt parameters
--seed 7 --size 1024x768 --ar 16:9 --preset fast --steps 8 --cfg 1.5 --sampler euler_a --model qwen-image --variant q4 --no blurry, text. They override the sliders and are stripped from what the model sees.
