Capa is dual-licensed under either of:

  * The MIT License ([LICENSE-MIT](./LICENSE-MIT))
  * The Apache License, Version 2.0 ([LICENSE-APACHE](./LICENSE-APACHE))

at your option.

The SPDX expression for this dual-license is `MIT OR Apache-2.0`,
the same idiom used by the Rust project. Pick whichever fits your
distribution constraints; using one does not waive your right to
later distribute the same Work under the other.

Why both? MIT keeps the friction-free permissive story Capa shipped
with originally, while Apache-2.0 carries an explicit patent grant
(Section 3) and a termination clause against litigants. The patent
grant matters for Capa specifically because the project sits in a
regulated supply-chain story (EU CRA, NIS2, DORA) where institutional
adopters tend to prefer or require the Apache-style protection.

## Contributions

Unless you explicitly state otherwise, any contribution intentionally
submitted for inclusion in this project by you, as defined in the
Apache 2.0 license, shall be dual-licensed as above, without any
additional terms or conditions.
