appliedchemlabwork_tayra.D2.calc_concentration(data: DataFrame, epsilon: DataFrame, l: float | floating[Any] = 0.01) DataFrame[source]#

Calculates the concentration of the molarity of the solutions.

Parameters:
dataDataFrame

The DataFrame of the absorbances.

epsilonDataFrame

The DataFrame of the absorption coefficients by wavelength.

lfloating number, default to 1.0e-2

The optical path length of the optical cell in metre.

Returns:
dfDataFrame

The result table data.

About the Concentration#

The molarity is calculated by using Lambert-Beer law. According to the law, the molarity and the absorbance is represented in the following equation:

This equation shows that the absorbance is proportional to molarity.
