Orbital Points are the loyalty currency of the Pelorus Voyages frequent-traveller programme. Points are earned on all voyage packages and qualifying add-on purchases and can be redeemed toward future voyage bookings, cabin class upgrades, excursion purchases, and equipment rental credits. Orbital Points are separate from Orbital Credits, which are the Pelorus Voyages stored-value payment account; the two systems are independent and Points cannot be directly converted into Credits.

Points are earned at a base rate of one point per 100 units of currency spent on the voyage package price, denominated in USD equivalent at the time of booking. The earn rate is multiplied by the cabin class bonus: Pioneer class earns at 1× base rate, Navigator class at 1.5× base rate, and Pathfinder class at 2× base rate. Add-on purchases such as excursions, the gondola descent, and the Extraction Coverage insurance earn Points at the base rate only, regardless of cabin class. Points are credited to the loyalty account within five business days of voyage departure, not at the time of booking or payment.

Points earned on a voyage are held as pending until the voyage commences. If a voyage is cancelled before departure, pending Points are removed from the account. If a voyage is cancelled due to a launch scrub, pending Points are held for 90 days and transferred to the replacement booking if made within that window; otherwise they are released to the general Points balance.

Redemption requires a minimum of 5,000 Points per transaction. Points can be applied at the time of a new booking through the redemption function in the Pelorus Voyages account portal, which converts a Points allocation into a voyage credit that offsets the booking payment. Points redemption for cabin class upgrades is subject to a cutoff of seven days before departure — upgrades using Points cannot be made within seven days of the departure window. Upgrades made within seven days of departure are possible but must be paid with cash or card, not Points.

Points expire 36 months after the voyage on which they were earned if no qualifying voyage has been taken in the intervening period. Points earned on a new voyage reset the expiry clock for all Points in the account, not just the newly earned Points.
