Booking a Pelorus Voyages expedition begins by selecting an itinerary — Inner Planets Survey, Outer Reaches Tour, or Grand Solar Tour — and a cabin class. Itinerary dates are published quarterly and correspond to planetary alignment windows; not every date is available year-round, and high-demand departures fill months in advance. Passengers are encouraged to book as early as possible, particularly for Grand Solar Tour departures, which are limited in frequency by the requirement for favorable alignment across all legs simultaneously.

Once an itinerary, departure date, and cabin class are selected, the passenger pays the initial deposit of 25 percent of the voyage package price. This confirms the booking and locks in the cabin class and berth assignment. The full payment schedule — second payment at 90 days before departure, balance at 30 days before departure — is shown on the booking confirmation.

After booking is confirmed, two parallel preparation tracks begin. The first is the medical track: the passenger must obtain a physician-issued medical clearance timed so that it remains valid on the departure date (clearance is valid for 90 calendar days from sign-off). The second is the training track: all Pelorus Voyages passengers complete a pre-voyage training programme that covers EVA suit orientation, zero-gravity adaptation basics, emergency procedures, and destination-specific briefings. The training programme is delivered online and takes approximately six to eight hours to complete; it must be finished at least 14 days before departure.

At 72 hours before the departure window, passengers complete a pre-departure health check at the Earth launch terminal, conducted by Pelorus Voyages medical staff. This check confirms that the physician clearance is current and that no disqualifying change in health status has occurred since clearance was issued. The check takes approximately 20 minutes. Following the health check, passengers proceed to the terminal's baggage drop and biometric check-in, then to Gate 22 no later than three hours before the departure window opening.

The Pelorus Voyages online account portal is the primary interface for all booking management: making payments, uploading clearance documentation, completing the training programme, checking the voyage manifest, purchasing add-ons and excursions, and managing loyalty account and Orbital Points. Passengers who need assistance with any step can contact bookings support by message through the portal or by phone during business hours.
