Pelorus Voyages uses a three-stage payment schedule for all itinerary bookings. The deposit structure is designed to allow passengers to secure their berth early while spreading the full voyage cost closer to departure.

At the time of booking, a deposit of 25 percent of the total voyage package price is due. This deposit is required to confirm the booking and reserve the passenger's berth and cabin class. Without the deposit, a provisional hold on a berth expires after 72 hours and the space is released.

The second payment of 50 percent of the total voyage package price is due 90 days before the departure date. This is not 90 days after booking — it is 90 days before the scheduled departure. Passengers who book more than 90 days in advance will have a gap between the initial deposit and the second payment. Pelorus Voyages sends a reminder 14 days before the second payment deadline. If the second payment is not received by the 90-day mark, Pelorus Voyages may cancel the booking and apply the standard cancellation fee schedule to any refund of the initial deposit.

The final balance — the remaining 25 percent — is due 30 days before the departure date. Again, this is 30 days before departure, not 30 days after the second payment. Passengers who book late (within 90 days of departure) may find that the second payment and final balance fall very close together or simultaneously; in those cases Pelorus Voyages will provide a consolidated payment schedule at the time of booking. Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.

All payments must be made through the Pelorus Voyages online account portal using an accepted payment method. Accepted methods include major credit and debit cards, bank transfer, Orbital Credits (the Pelorus Voyages stored-value account), and approved corporate account billing. Orbital Points loyalty currency cannot be used to pay voyage deposits or balance payments directly — Points may only be applied to bookings through the Points redemption function in the account portal, which converts a Points allocation into a voyage credit that then offsets the payment amount.

If a booking is cancelled after the deposit has been paid, cancellation fees are applied to the total voyage price, and any refund is calculated from the amounts already paid.
