and is separate from any central logging your admin may have enabled.

Before mooring overwrites or removes a local file (a conflict’s “Use remote”, pull updates, delete, a data-file revert), the file’s previous bytes are saved here. Restore puts them back; if the file has changed again since, the restore refuses rather than overwrite newer work.
