Workflow 03
Use a survey to find promising d-spacing and blaze-angle combinations, then inspect their energy response.
Open Multilayer grating → New multilayer grating. Name the study, define the grating geometry and multilayer materials, then enter the survey target energy and d-spacing and blaze-angle ranges. The page shows the number of theta searches implied by the grid. Choose Create study.
 }})
If you already know you want the best survey design scanned over energy, tick When the survey finishes, scan the best design over energy automatically.
On the study page, start the Survey. Each grid cell gets its own theta search. Watch progress there; after completion, inspect the efficiency map and plots of the best blaze angle and efficiency against d-spacing.
In Energy scan, choose Scan best for the survey's top design, Scan all d for one best blaze angle at each d-spacing, or Choose manually… to select pairs yourself. The resulting curves and plots appear on the same study page. Use Download script there to run the saved study outside the website.
Find studies again under Multilayer grating → Manage multilayer gratings. Edit parameters reopens the study form; changed inputs can mark completed stages stale until you rerun them.
