# OpenRepKernel

OpenRepKernel is a small Python kernel for finite local representations. It
stores scalar values at named coordinates, restricts a representation to a
smaller domain, and joins two representations when they agree on their overlap.

```python
from openrepkernel import LocalRepresentation
left = LocalRepresentation.from_mapping({"x": 1.0, "y": 2.0})
right = LocalRepresentation.from_mapping({"y": 2.0, "z": 3.0})
assert left.overlap(right) == ("y",)
assert left.glue(right).as_dict() == {"x": 1.0, "y": 2.0, "z": 3.0}
assert left.restrict({"y"}).as_dict() == {"y": 2.0}
```

The representation is immutable, coordinate order is deterministic, and
nonfinite values are rejected. Gluing raises `ValueError` on disagreement.
This first release handles finite scalar data only; it makes no claim to be a
general geometric or learned representation framework.
