  * A repeated XML child no longer fails the document. A writer that emits two
<w:jc> in one <w:pPr>, or repeats any other child of pPr, rPr, tblPr, trPr
or tcPr, previously aborted the parse with "duplicate field"; every
occurrence is now carried through the model and the last one wins, as Word
resolves it. The same applies to VML shape children.
  * Fixed a crash on localized style names: a name whose fourth byte fell
inside a multi-byte character (Заголовок 1, Título 1) panicked the table of
    contents style detection.
  * §17.16.4.2 date pictures: a backslash now escapes the character after it
    instead of being printed. DATE \@ "MMM\ d, yyyy" rendered Aug\ 11, 2026 and
    now renders Aug 11, 2026 (closes #159).
  * A DATE or TIME field naming no picture takes the short date or time of the
document's own w:lang rather than a hardcoded American one, and AM/PM is
written the way the locale writes it.

  * Internationalisation: UAX #14 line breaking, UAX #9 bidirectional text with
rule L4 mirroring, region-aware decimal separators, localized DATE/TIME
field pictures, and §17.18.59 number formats spelled out in English,
    German, French and Spanish.
  * First release to ship this package. amd64 and arm64, built on Debian 12.
  * Pagination fixes that move page counts on existing documents: a paragraph
is no longer stranded alone before an explicit page break, a paragraph mark
is measured in its own font rather than the paragraph default, and the line
fitter no longer overruns its container when it breaks back to an earlier
    opportunity.

dxpdf (0.4.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Initial Debian package, built upstream and attached to the GitHub release
rather than uploaded to the Debian archive (see issue #92). The archive
route needs a Skia that Debian itself packages; there is not one yet.
  * Per-version upstream changes are in the GitHub release notes:
    https://github.com/nerdy-pro/dxpdf/releases
