HF softmodems — **shrike** (PACTOR-1/2/3), **kestrel** (VARA), **besra**
(ARDOP), **sabir**, **lanner** (RTTY, SITOR-B and NAVTEX), **brubru**
(Robust Packet) and **bateleur** (military waveforms, ALE and selcall) — with
shared station control, host ports and operator tools.

Everything runs from recordings with no radio attached, and `transmit = false`
in the station file is a hard interlock.

Outbound mail delivery is confirmed over PACTOR-3, VARA and ARDOP.
PACTOR-1 has received gateway mail. This is an experimental prerelease for
developers only; do not rely on it for any purpose, especially emergency
communications. The project README records tested paths and remaining limits.
