# tgup-cli

Use a Telegram channel as a drive from the command line. Installs the `tgup` command.

- Parallel upload/download (several connections, fast even on high latency)
- Files over Telegram's single-file limit are auto-split and merged back with a sha256 check
  (Premium: up to 4000 MiB whole, larger files cut into 3900 MiB parts; free: 1950 MiB)
- Obeys Telegram flood waits instead of failing

## Install

    pipx install tgup-cli # or: pip install tgup-cli

## Setup (once per machine)

Get `api_id` / `api_hash` at https://my.telegram.org -> API development tools.

    tgup config --api-id 12345 --api-hash YOUR_HASH --channel "@mychannel"
    tgup login

Config and the login session live in `~/.config/tgup/` (never in the package). Keep that folder private.

## Use

    tgup file.mkv                 # upload (auto-split if needed)
    tgup -c "caption" a.zip b.zip
    tgup -d ./folder              # every file in a folder
    tgup ls # list (split files show as [split])
    tgup get 123 -o ~/Videos      # download (split files merged + verified)

Flags: `-j N` connections (default 8 Premium / 4 free), `--part-size MiB`, `--tmp DIR`.
