Axis-aligned bounding box (the 3-D `smallest_rectangle1`). Returns the
`min / max corners and center in (depth, row, col)`, the full
`size (depth, row, col edge lengths), and the enclosed volume`. This is
the honest null baseline that `smallest_box3` beats on any rotated object.
Raises `ValueError` on empty input.
