resolution op• Data kinds: table → table
• Call: import fullseye as fs; fs.ledger.mesh_select_lod(lod, distance, focal_px, pixel_tolerance=0.5, use='max_error') (to call the implementation directly, import meshres; meshres.mesh_select_lod(lod, distance, focal_px, pixel_tolerance=0.5, use='max_error'); from the registry, ops3d.get("mesh_select_lod"))
The coarsest LOD level whose geometric error projects below *pixel_tolerance* (`table`).
Screen-space error `e_px = error × focal_px / distance` (pinhole, mesh
units for *distance*). Returns ``{"level", "error_px", "n_faces",
"candidates": [e_px per level]}`; use picks "max_error"` (safe) or
`"rms_error"`. Level 0 (the input) is chosen when nothing else fits.
