Export & Assembly Options

Clips to Export Sequence Exports the moments in the sequence, in its order and with your trims. Automatic picks Lets Cutpoint pick the best-scoring moments of the analysis (clips --top, --ids, --max-total, --order); the sequence is not used.

Vertical 9:16 Exports the clips as 9:16 vertical video (1080x1920, center crop) for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Burn in captions Transcribes the final video and burns its words onto the picture as captions. Speech-aware cuts Moves in and out points that fall mid-word to the start or end of the sentence instead of using your exact trims (--speech-aware), in Export clips and Extend export. Smart tails Lets a clip that ends on speech run on until the reaction settles (--smart-tail). Normalize loudness Evens the final video to a standard streaming loudness (-14 LUFS). Link Transitions Keeps the audio transition matched to the video transition: Cut with Cut, Crossfade with Fade.

Cut Timing

Max end move (s) The most seconds Speech-aware cuts may move an end later to finish a sentence (--speech-max-extend). Blank: 8. Max start move (s) The most seconds Speech-aware cuts may move a start earlier to catch a sentence's start (--speech-max-lead). Blank: 5. Tail min (s) Seconds a smart tail always keeps after the last word (--tail-min). Blank: the style's, 1.5 for most. Tail max (s) The most seconds a smart tail adds after the last word (--tail-max). Blank: the style's, 5 for most. Event tails Extends a clip to cover a payoff such as a kill, banner or laughter that starts soon after the speech (--event-tails). Auto: on when the project has events.json. Needs Smart tails for the sequence's moments. Event window (s) A payoff must start within this many seconds after the speech (--event-window). Blank: 10. Extend start (s) Seconds of padding added before every clip, in Export clips (--extend-start) and Extend export (--start). Blank: none. Extend end (s) Seconds of padding added after every clip, in Export clips (--extend-end) and Extend export (--end). Blank: none.

Compress Audio Peaks Evens out loud peaks such as shouts and explosions and levels the clips, in Export clips and Assemble.

Color Corrects dull, washed-out or tinted color per clip, in Export clips and One-Click Edit (--color). Auto evens levels, white balance and vibrance; Underwater also restores red. Clips that already look good, log footage and 360 clips stay as they are. Starts at Off for gaming footage.

Re-exports the latest export's clips into a new folder with the Extend start and end padding and the speech settings (cutpoint extend).

One-Click Edit

Preset What cutpoint edit makes from the analysis, in one run: the best moments as clips, then the final video (--kind). Highlights: up to 3 minutes, chronological, with fades. Montage: up to 60 seconds, best first, with fades. Clips: the 10 best, hard cuts. Funny moments: 8, chronological, with burned-in captions. Uses Vertical 9:16 and Compress Audio Peaks.

Runs the preset: analyzes again if the footage changed, exports the clips to the clips folder and assembles final.mp4. The sequence is not used.
