# -openpromptkit
    An open-source toolkit for building structured, reusable AI prompts and workflows.

OpenPromptKit

OpenPromptKit is an open-source toolkit for building structured, reusable, testable, and version-controlled AI prompts and workflows.

The project aims to make prompt engineering more reproducible by treating prompts as reusable software components rather than isolated pieces of text.

Why OpenPromptKit?

AI applications often rely on prompts that are:

* duplicated across projects;
* difficult to test;
* difficult to version;
* inconsistently structured;
* tightly coupled to application code.

OpenPromptKit provides a lightweight foundation for organizing prompts and AI workflows in a more systematic way.

Goals

The project focuses on:

* reusable prompt templates;
* structured prompt variables;
* prompt validation;
* versioning;
* testing;
* workflow composition;
* reproducible examples;
* developer-friendly tooling.

Example

A prompt can be represented as a reusable template:

You are an expert {{role}}.
Analyze the following input:
{{input}}
Return the result using the following format:
{{format}}

Variables can then be supplied programmatically instead of manually rewriting the prompt.

Development

The project is being developed with a focus on simplicity, transparency, and practical use.

Future releases will introduce additional functionality for prompt templates, validation, testing, versioning, and workflow execution.
