How a chat bridge works Each chat system has its own small adapter, and everything below the adapters is shared code. The bridge polls the chat system for new messages, hands the question to the event dispatcher, and posts back what the agent returns. Every connection the bridge makes points outward, so it opens no network port and nothing has to reach it.
