# thegrind-protocol

The wire contract between a contributor and The Grind: canonical bytes, digests, claims, identifiers.

This release is a **placeholder**: it installs nothing and does nothing. It
exists only to hold the name until the real `grind.protocol` is published as part of
[`thegrind`](https://pypi.org/project/thegrind/).

Nothing here contacts the network, reads your filesystem, or runs at import
time — there is no code in it at all.

See <https://grind.mainframe.network>.
