Recovery copies
Work saved automatically in the background. Recover a copy, then save it as a project.
Recover previously imported recordings
Sources remain available even without a saved project. The last analysed settings are restored where available.
Appearance for all traces
Apply to every loaded trace, including section and plot overrides. Blank fields keep their current appearance.

BY CONDITION
Overview plots
Each line is a condition mean across independent animals.
FOLDED SIGNAL
Activity profile
Drag the α cursors to set the active/rest boundary.

BY CONDITION
Daily timing plots
Days align from the start of each recording. Each line averages animals in the condition.

Daily onset & phase
Choose onset or offset, then click or drag on the actogram. Drag an existing marker to move it; double-click to remove it.

BY CONDITION
Spectral plots
Each line averages animals in the condition; the band is the standard error across animals.

Bout plots
Bout distributions are averaged per animal before conditions are pooled.

LOCAL DATA SAFETY
Backup and recovery
Projects and analysis settings are saved work, but they are not backups. A snapshot captures the database and uploaded source files together, then verifies every byte.

Automatic snapshots are off. Nothing is scheduled unless you explicitly opt in to a future scheduler.
ONE RECORDING, TWO PARAMETER SETS
A/B parameter forks
Forking is non-destructive: A holds the parameters you forked from, B is the variant. The fork marked Active analysis is the one the Analysis settings controls edit — the other is parked with the result it was last analysed with, so changing a parameter can never overwrite it. Promote adopts a fork as the analysis and leaves A/B mode; Discard returns to the settings you forked from.
MEAN ± SEM
Group overlay
Assign each recording a group and (optionally) a subject id on the Compare tab. Ungrouped recordings stay in Compare but are excluded here. Recordings sharing a subject id aggregate before testing, so the effective n counts subjects, not recordings — the field's most common statistical error is treating slices or cells as independent replicates.
Parameter-level comparison (period, amplitude, acrophase) is often a stronger claim than a pointwise bar (Hughes et al. 2017). Fit each group separately and compare the fitted parameters when the biological question is a shift in one of them, not a bin-wise difference in the raw trace.
