KPrayerTime 0.99 BETA
==================

This BETA KDE panel applet displays the Islamic prayer times for the day in the KDE task panel. It
has been tested on KDE v 3. If you require to run on another version then check on
the sourceforge project page mentioned at the end of this document.

Installation instructions can be found in the INSTALL document.

WARNING: This is beta software and hence all times should be checked with your usual prayer calendar.
*** IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY THAT THE CALCULATED TIMES ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH YOUR
PREFERRED CALCULATION METHOD ***
If you are aware of any errors in the calculation or calculation method then please let me know
as soon as possible, jazakallahu khairan.

PLEASE NOTE: Prayer time differences between calendars are common and quite likely due to the fact
that prayer times can be calculated in different ways, particularly fajr, `asr and `ishaa.

For example, the shafi`i madhhab bases `asr on when the shadow of a vertical stick is of the same length
as the stick. Other madhhabs wait until the shadow is twice the length, hence `asr is prayed earlier
in the shafi`i madhhab. Also, times in the extreme north and south for fajr and `ishaa
cannot follow the standard rules.

Also please be aware that you must enter the correct latitude and longitude into the preferences dialog
(see the USAGE document). If either latitude or longitude is incorrect then the times WILL be
incorrect.

The pray time calculation software used in this program is taken from the program IslamicTimer, second distribution,
which includes the following notice:
